In 2007, AB 118, the California Alternative and Renewable Fuel, Vehicle Technology, Clean Air, and Carbon Reduction Act of 2007 was signed into law. AB 118 provides about $200 million annually through 2015 for new programs to develop and deploy technology and alternative and renewable fuels and fund air quality improvement projects. Implementation of AB 118 is just beginning.
